Who it is for and what you take away
Who it is for
Customs brokers and declarants in Albania.
What you take away
On completing the learning stages you can use AI tools in customs work while keeping the declaration decision with the broker; identify the customs provision that governs a classification and justify it; check AI output for wrong tariff headings, invented valuations and missed obligations before a declaration is lodged; and keep a record from which a classification can be reconstructed.
- A practical task at the end of every course, which you do yourself and keep as evidence of your work.
- Your completion of each course, recorded in your account on the learning platform.
Courses and sequence
- 01
Customs AI: Operations foundation
The foundation of customs practice: the customs agent's role, the boundary where AI helps and where regulated judgement stays human, the Customs Code and e-customs in the automated system for customs data, ethics and confidentiality. - 02
Customs AI: Tariff classification
Tariff classification in practice: the Harmonized System and the Combined Nomenclature, the classification rules and the origin of goods. - 03
Customs AI: Declarations and clearance
Declarations and clearance: the import/export customs declaration, the automated system for customs data, clearance procedures and supporting documents. - 04
Customs AI: Duties, VAT and valuation
Duties, value added tax and valuation: customs valuation, customs duties and value added tax at the border, calculation and payment. - 05
Customs AI: Preparation for assessment
Preparation for assessment: practise your customs judgement by reviewing customs classifications and documents against this programme's assessment criteria. You verify the evidence; the independent assessment stays separate from the learning.
Assessment and qualification
The learning checks inside the courses are formative and qualify no one. Qualification is a separate, optional route: two human assessors review a sample of your work against the published rubric, and no AI takes part in the decision.
Pending professional ratification: the rubric used in the optional human assessment has not yet been signed by practising professionals in this field. Until it is, the programme is published as a learning programme.
A qualification is not a professional licence and does not guarantee work.
